Commissioning a Portrait L'Elizabeth R. offers fully painted portraits of costumed patrons of any class. Prices for portraits are based on the complexity of the elements in the painting. Very glittery noble clothing will naturally take more time and cost more than fairly simple peasant attire. Please refer to the charts below. L'Elizabeth R. portraits are painted digitally, which allows for the artist to render a high level of detail, and produce the portrait at ten times the speed of "real" oil paint, which in turn dramatically decreases the cost. We strive for realism, and use special techniques to make your portrait indistinguishable from a traditional oil painting. Our portraits can be printed any size and on any quality of paper. High quality giclee prints on gloss canvas are recommended to give the most authentic look, but satin luster paper is also a beautiful option. Please refer to our paper/canvas description page for more information. Prices per sitter are as follows:
L'Elizabeth R. recommends a dark colored background, such as black, burgundy, or navy blue, but background drapery or landscapes can be requested. Complex background imagery will increase the price. The cost of printing and shipping is added onto the cost of painting the portrait. For small portraits (8x10), this cost can be as low as $15, whereas large portraits (16x20) will be around $35. Portraits printed on canvas have optional stretching/mounting, which increases printing costs by about $15. For inquiries please contact Lauren Reeser at LERPortraiture@gmail.com.
